What is Container Orchestration?
Applications are typically made up of individually containerized components (often called microservices) that must be organized at the networking level in order for the application to run as intended. The process of organizing multiple containers in this manner is known as container orchestration.

Container orchestration refers to the process of organizing the work of individual components and application layers.
How does container orchestration work?
While platforms like Apache Mesos, Google Kubernetes, and Docker Swarm each have their own specific methodologies for container management, container orchestration engines allow users to control when containers start and stop, group them into clusters, and coordinate all of the processes that compose an application. Container orchestration tools allow users to guide container deployment and automate updates, health monitoring, and failover procedures.
