Move data where it needs to be with seamless data mobility
- – Bridge the divide between on-premises and cloud: Easily move data across hybrid cloud as cost, performance, or regulatory needs change. With HPE Alletra Block Storage for AWS you can effortlessly, seamlessly, and rapidly move data between HPE Storage on-premises and in AWS, as well as between different regions in AWS. Moreover, you can utilize IT resources strategically by easily migrating virtual machine (VM) and container workloads to and from cloud without costly application refactoring and staff retraining.
- – Simple, cost-effective DR and business continuity: Extend your multilayered on-premises data protection and business continuity capabilities to AWS with enterprise-grade snapshots, replication, and backups. Now, you can protect your on-premises and cloud-native workloads with native replication to AWS for disaster recovery (DR)—delivering near-zero RTOs and RPOs and mitigating the need for secondary DR sites. For the ultimate level of data protection and business continuity, you can replicate data between AWS Regions and Availability Zones, and even across different clouds.
- – Help maximize developer agility and innovation: With HPE Alletra Block Storage for AWS, you can accelerate development cycles and expand your testing capabilities. It lets you develop software on-premises or in the cloud and deploy to either target faster using an agile and efficient DevTest environment. You can leverage space-efficient snapshots and clones to quickly spin up a DevTest sandbox on-premises or in AWS. This enables you to test new apps, patches, and updates instantly without impacting the production environment and without having to purchase and deploy new hardware on-premises.
Extend the proven capabilities of on-premises block storage to public cloud.
- – Reduce your cloud storage costs: The industry-leading data reduction technologies of HPE Alletra Block Storage for AWS can help reduce your cloud storage costs on AWS. Storage is always thin-provisioned, deduped, and compressed—giving you superior efficiency for your workloads in AWS. This allows you to improve your cloud storage TCO, optimize your cloud spend and storage usage, as well as reduce any future ingress/egress charges.
- – Run business-critical apps in the cloud: With HPE Alletra Block Storage for AWS, you get enterprise-class performance, scalability, and resiliency for the most demanding database, virtualization, and container workloads—both on prem and in the cloud. With all the proven capabilities of enterprise on-premises block storage now available in the public cloud, you can run any block-based workload in the cloud with confidence.
- – Maintain security and compliance across hybrid cloud: Strengthen your defenses with integrated, native security across your entire IT estate. HPE Alletra Block Storage for AWS helps accelerate zero trust adoption with role-based access control, single sign-on, encryption, and federated identity control for its features and capabilities.
