HPE Intelligent Management Center (IMC) software is a modular, comprehensive resource management platform. With its extensive device support, IMC software provides true end-to-end management for the entire network, as well as the open operation cycle.

The HPE Intelligent Management Center (IMC) Branch Intelligent Management System (BIMS) uses an intelligent component-based architecture to provide powerful support for service operations, delivering high reliability, scalability, flexibility, and IP investment returns. Based on the TR-069 protocol, IMC BIMS offers resource, configuration, service, alarm, group, and privilege management. It allows the remote management of customer premise equipment (CPE) in WANs.

Management

• uses HTTP to communicate with the device, and the session is initiated by the device, so the IMC Branch Intelligent Management Software (BIMS) can pass through NAT to manage the device

In addition, the Batch Operate function enables to configure CPE operations in batches. All communication messages between CPE and BIMS are recorded

• allows for the organization of CPE resources into different groups and subgroups, enabling to manage a network of CPE devices more efficiently and providers a network security enhancement assigning different authorities to CPE groups.
• − Compliance Center
• helps check every target CPE device or CPE class using a binding configured compliance policy. Once it finds a CPE which violates the compliance policy, the Compliance Center shows the violation details. BIMS fixes the illegal configuration segment items and solves the potential configuration and security risks in the network and allows generates the results in an automated report.
• − Alarm and report management
• notify users that the CPE device has a communications problem, or is in violation of system standards and it is able to create reports to provide statistics on CPE assets and CPE connectivity performance

Security

• automates batch updates or upgrades on configuration files and operating system software images for network devices; this is especially convenient when numerous similarly configured devices need their configurations updated; automates the many time-consuming steps required to upgrade while reducing the error-prone complexities of the upgrade process
