Product overview
HPE Intelligent Management Center (IMC) is a modular, comprehensive resource-management platform. With its extensive device support, IMC provides true end-to-end management for the entire network, as well as the entire operation cycle.
HPE IMC Application Manager (APM) is a network management software product based on the IMC Platform. It is used to monitor various applications in the network. During the monitoring process, APM collects data from the applications and generates an application monitor report that can be used by operators to resolve HPE Aruba Networking application performance bottleneck problems, and make sure network services are available, reliable, and continuous.
Features and benefits
Management
- – HPE IMC APM communication management
- monitors applications using different protocols and technologies. It predefines one or more of the following methods for each type of application monitors: SNMP, CLI, WMI, JMX, and by collecting database monitor indexes by applications service interfaces.
- – Application monitor management
- monitors applications through various application monitoring and management function. Once collected, the information can be displayed in different views based on your needs. Users have access to application monitor, host monitor, class monitor, and custom view.
- – Topology and application group management
- displays the physical relationship and logical relationship among applications, access devices, and physical network in a topology. APM displays the availability and health status of applications in the topology. Typically, directly related applications are used together to provide a single service. Application group management allows operators to organize applications into functional groups, simplifying the topology and creating more organization.
- – Configuration management
- allows management of defined alarm conditions, ports, probes, and system parameters. Threshold management sets alarm triggers, port configuration manages application data flow, probe configuration collects application data for reporting, and parameter configuration sets application performance management parameters such as data retention periods.
- – Application management reports
- generate reports based on application management templates included with APM, providing the following report templates for health statuses and availability. Real-time reports are available to operators at any time. Scheduled reports can be emailed to operators for archiving.
