    This course is ideal for professionals who manage digital products end‑to‑end and align product capabilities, services, and business outcomes. This includes product managers/owners, product development leaders, enterprise/solution architects, scrum masters, delivery and service leaders, IT operations managers, portfolio managers, digital leaders (e.g., CDOs), and other IT professionals.

    Prerequisites

    Before attending this course, you should have:

    • ITIL® Foundation Version 5 OR ITIL® 4 Foundation certificate is required as the prerequisite for ITIL®Product Version 5 and higher‑level qualifications
    • Mandatory accredited training (via an accredited training organization or ITIL® Official eLearning) before you can take the ITIL®Product Version 5 exam
    • If you hold ITIL® 4 Foundation certification, PeopleCert and HPE provide an optional ITIL®Foundation Bridge Version 5 transition route if you want to update to Foundation Version 5 (Note: this bridge course and exam is offered for a limited period only)

    Objectives

    After completing this course, you should be able to:

    • Understand digital product and service fundamentals
    • Explain the ITIL® Product and Service Lifecycle Model and how value chain activities support it
    • Apply each lifecycle activity: purpose, steps, roles, outputs, CSFs, and metrics
    • Explain how management practices, operating models, and value streams enable product management, and how AI/automation, PRINCE2, and DevOps enhance delivery
