Overview
This course is an introduction to the two components of HPE GreenLake Managed Cloud Controls (MCC) —Continuous Compliance and Consumption Analytics. These components are included in the HPE GreenLake solution and are accessible from the HPE GreenLake Central user interface. MCC ensures public clouds comply with legal, industry and internal rule frameworks, while helping to identify opportunities for cost savings.
After an overview of HPE GreenLake and HPE GreenLake Central, this course explores Continuous Compliance tool to make public cloud accounts compliant to the rule frameworks of your choosing. You learn about technical and process rules and their characteristics, setting up automatic assessments using rule frameworks, and using audits and monitors.
The course teaches how to control cost and capacity of your HPE GreenLake installation and analyze your public cloud spending with the HPE GreenLake standalone product, Consumption Analytics. The course explores the details of Consumption Analytics to see high level and detailed monthly spending, as well as resource usage (past, current and projected) to detect over- and under-usage. The course further explores how to control costs and spending with the Insight and Budget tools. The course also introduces the setup of public cloud connections and covers tagging.

- Describe the purpose of the Monthly Charges feature
- Explain how Monthly Charges are used to identify major contributors to the HPE GreenLake bill
- Show the Monthly Charges drill-down to single devices and daily costs.
- Describe the purpose of the Capacity Planning feature.
- Use Capacity Planning graphs to detect under-usage of HPE GreenLake resources
- Use Capacity Planning graphs to detect potential future capacity overruns
- Describe Cost Control features—Insights, Budgets, and Reports
- Explain how Insights are used to identify major contributors to public cloud cost
- Explain how Insights help identify cost saving opportunities
- Use Budgets to control the spending of business units, groups of resources or applications
- Create spending reports at different levels for various audiences
- Provide an overview of connecting Consumption Analytics to AWS and Azure accounts
