User Roles and Multi Tenancy
A single HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard instance efficiently serves multiple distinct user groups and resources, made possible by multi-tenancy. This approach ensures the effective management of services through the segregation of user accounts and the delegation of tasks and responsibilities among them.
A tenant is a set of users and resources. Users can be created only inside a tenant account. The number of users that can be created is not restricted, and you can associate different roles with the different users. Tenancy has the following levels:
- – Portal Tenant: The tenant with the highest level of access and ability to do all the operations allowed by HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard, including the administration of other tenants. Notes: The portal tenant does not own networks.
- – Network Tenants: Tenants that administer private networks. They can see only their own networks and resources and are not aware of the existence of other tenants.
A user is someone who has credentials to log on to the system. Users have roles that grant them the right to perform operations. HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard supports local users and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) user authentication.
Provisioning and SIM Lifecycle Management
HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard serves as a comprehensive enterprise tool for managing the HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Core Network. It offers services for provisioning SIMs and managing their lifecycle. It also enables users to configure network information such as PLMS and Service Profiles that are related to the provisioning process.
The main features of the HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard provisioning and configuration modules are:
- – Managing SIMs
- – Configuring service profiles and PLMNs
- – Replicating USIMs, service profiles, and PLMNs across multiple networks
HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard handles the following subscriber information:
- – SIM general data (SUPI, MSISDN)
- – Tenant and network or federation association
- – Secret keys
- – Association to service profile and network
The HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard Provisioning module lets you create SIMs and perform all necessary actions to provision them into private networks. It also handles modifications to their status, such as provisioned or deprovisioned. SIM information can also be improved by adding metadata to simplify SIM management and by allowing filtering based on customer-specific information.
SIMs are displayed in a table. Depending on the status of the SIM, certain actions can be performed on a single SIM or in bulk. The system keeps track of all operations, thus allowing users to monitor their progress.
Networks and Service Management
HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard allows users to configure their network by defining critical components, such as Public Land Mobile Networks (PLMNs) and Service Profiles, associated to predefined network slices in the core. The network configurations, including PLMN and Service Profile settings, can be prepared within HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard and seamlessly propagated to the actual network.
HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard includes support for voice services, enabled through the integration of the HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Voice Services (IMS) product.
Furthermore, HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard offers robust data segregation capabilities. For example, USIMs registered for specific tenants remain exclusively visible to those tenants, and provisioned networks are isolated and are only accessible to their associated tenant. This strict data segregation enhances security and confidentiality within the network management environment.
Monitoring
The HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard Monitoring module is a tool that enables centralized monitoring of multiple networks. Its main functionalities include:
- – Providing a comprehensive overview of the network status.
- – Status monitoring for network functions and topology of the managed network.
- – Status monitoring of the radios through Bore KPIs, where available.
- – Monitoring and storing 4G, 5G, and IMS KPIs related to the managed network.
- – First level of troubleshooting by visualizing network representation and highlighting errors.
HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard Monitoring is designed to benefit the following target customers: Small and medium-sized enterprises that want to monitor the status of their private networks and request support if needed.
Integrators and operators for private network services who want to monitor the status of multiple networks.
By providing near real-time network status updates and KPIs, HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard Monitoring enables the users to quickly identify and address any issues or inefficiencies within their networks. This can help improve network performance and efficiency, resulting in better overall network operations.
Traffic Reporting
HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard includes an optional Traffic analysis module that relies on Charging Data Records (CDRs) produced by the managed HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Core Networks. Upon customer request, it can also handle CDRs issued by third-party mobile network operators in an MVNO context. For more information about MNO/MVNO integration possibilities, contact your HPE sales representative.

Technical Specifications
Resource requirements
Provisioning and monitoring
The deployment scenarios can change according to the customers needs for improved performance and eliminating redundancies.
The deployment choices and the hardware used for hosting HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard affect the overall performance and they must be validated for any new setup. The minimum requirements for a single instance of the HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard product installed on a single VM include a base of:
- 16 CPUs
- 32 GB RAM
- 200 GB SSD storage
Currently the HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Core and HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Voice Services send all their KPIs to HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard, so the main dimensioning factors for HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard, in addition to the base VM sizing mentioned before, are:
- – The number of monitored HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Core and HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Voice Services VMs
- – The retention period for HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Core KPIs
For example, for each monitored HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Core and HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Voice Services VM with a three-days KPI retention period, the following must be added:
- – 0.3 vCPU
- – 750 MB RAM
- – 4 GB SSD storage
Then, for each extra day of KPI retention, add the following extra SSD storage:
- – 1 GB and an additional 400 MB for each monitored VM
If you configure the HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Core and HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Voice Services send only the useful part of their KPIs to HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard, for each monitored HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Core and HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Voice Services VM with a three-days KPI retention period, the following must be added instead:
- – vCPU
- – 40 MB RAM
- – 10 MB SSD storage
Then, for each extra day of KPI retention, add the following extra SSD storage:
- – 50 MB and an additional 10 MB for each monitored VM
Notes:
– To reduce the sizing requirements listed previously, you can filter the KPIs sent by HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Core and HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Voice Services. For more information, contact your HPE representative.
– The HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard KPI database requires parameterization according to the dimensioning parameters listed in this section. For more information about these parameters, see the HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Management Dashboard 1.24.2.0 Installation Guide.
Network bandwidth
The real-time bandwidth usage and consumption during runtime is approximately 250 KB/s for each HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Core or HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Voice Services VM. This bandwidth is needed to store in the HPE ANW P5G Management Dashboard database the KPI data that is collected on the HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Core and HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G Voice Services VMs with Prometheus.
