HPE GreenLake Flex Solution built for SAP HANA® provides validated systems and services from Hewlett Packard Enterprise with a consumption-based, as-a-service experience.
This solution is designed to provide SAP HANA environments with a managed consumable infrastructure that combines the simplicity, agility, and economics of public cloud with the security features and performance benefits of an on-premises environment.
The HPE GreenLake Flex Solution built for SAP HANA® solution offers several different options Customers can choose to measure capacity that best meets their needs. The Customer can choose the GB of HANA RAM consumed, as well as compute units, core utilization, or GB of storage. These choices can also apply to the application servers. These measurements incorporate all the products and services included in HPE GreenLake Flex Solution built for SAP HANA®, helping Customers predict and control their environmental costs based on SAP HANA requirements.

| HPE Factory Express Integration service for SAP HANA | HPE Factory Express Integration service for SAP HANA provides factory build and integration services for your eligible HPE Solution for SAP HANA in accordance with ISO 9000:2000 quality standards. This service is available for eligible HPE infrastructure for SAP HANA. In addition, to be eligible for these services, you must also purchase the HPE Installation service, as these are complementary services designed to coordinate the integration tasks described in this data sheet along with the services. HPE builds and configures your HPE Solution for SAP HANA to your specifications and performs testing prior to shipment of your system leveraging skilled HPE resources and expertise. HPE performs these integration activities in regional HPE factories, delivering a solution that is preconfigured and tested to help shorten your deployment cycles. The HPE Factory Express Integration service for SAP HANA and HPE Installation services must be ordered with your product purchase and apply only to the eligible products on your order. | HPE Rapid Deployment service for SAP HANA | The HPE Rapid Deployment service for SAP HANA has been designed to simplify the process of implementing and configuring your HPE infrastructure for SAP HANA to accelerate time to value from your SAP HANA environment. With the comprehensive HPE Rapid Deployment service for SAP HANA, HPE uses an experience-based process to integrate the HPE infrastructure for SAP HANA into your environment. This service includes planning and review, integration, and testing activities. This service is available for eligible HPE infrastructure for SAP HANA. See the following HPE Rapid Deployment Service for SAP HANA data sheet for further information. |
| Eligible HPE hardware configurations | To obtain the full HPE GreenLake Flex Solution built for SAP HANA® experience, the eligible hardware configurations (predefined configurations or building blocks) need to be ordered. These configurations are SAP HANA Appliance certified and/or SAP HANA TDI certified. The latest configurations can be found in the HPE ordering guide and the HPE Complete Care Service – Expert Support for SAP HANA can be added. |
| Solution support experience | The HPE Customer Support and Lifetime Value HPE Complete Care Service – Expert Support for SAP HANA is designed to provide a comprehensive support experience for a Customer’s HPE infrastructure for SAP HANA. HPE brings both HPE infrastructure and SAP HANA expertise together for Complete Care Service customers to streamline resolution of their cases before engaging SAP, when applicable. |
| Performance analysis for SAP HANA | This service feature provides a performance analysis for one SAP® system covered under services, including the SAP HANA database. HPE will create a performance analysis report that may include potential recommendations intended to help maintain or improve performance. HPE will provide the report in a PDF document, which will provide details regarding the performance status of the selected SAP system, including the HANA-powered SAP application and the HANA database—visualized by charts and tables. It is supplemented by a detailed written summary of HPE’s findings of the analysis, a traffic light rating of the overall status, and a management brief and may include a list of potential recommendations and actions detailed by the HPE performance technical consultant. This report can be used for baselining and trending purposes as well. This service feature comes with a 20-minute debriefing session through a web-based video conferencing tool, during HPE standard business hours, delivered in English, to explain HPE’s findings in a review of the performance analysis report, along with any HPE recommendations. | Change management service | The change management process is implemented by either HPE or the Customer to initiate a change in writing. The change will be evaluated and any impact will be identified. The price, scope, and schedule impact (if any) will be analyzed and documented. The change impact will then be processed for Customer authorization or closure. The change request form will include a description of the change, the reason for the change, and the initiator of the change, as well as the impact on scope, price, quality, schedule, resources, and risks. All changes must be mutually agreed upon by the parties in writing. Once approved, changes to the initial project will be implemented as described. |
| Scale-up memory capacity cap for each scale-up system Global Allocation Limit (GAL) | An SAP HANA parameter is used to define the maximum capacity of memory available for an SAP HANA system DB usage. The GAL should match the requested capacity of the system and should only be changed through the change management process along with the requested capacity. There can be multiple SAP HANA GALs in a system. Use the following formula to calculate the default memory capacity cap: (64 GB x 90%) + ([installed capacity GB – 64 GB] x 97%). HPE will provide metering tools to measure the system’s usage for monthly billing. HPE metering tools collect the data needed to determine usage (for example, GB of RAM, compute units, physical core utilization percent, or GB of storage). All metering happens inside the Customer’s data center firewall, and encrypted communication (email or API) with usage data is sent daily to HPE. Metering of the systems will begin on the date of completion of metering tools installation by HPE. HPE will be responsible for ongoing administration, upgrades, and maintenance of the metering tools. This will include the identification and installation of metering tool patches. |
| HPE GreenLake Management Services | HPE provides remote infrastructure and application monitoring, management, and optimization according to HPE best practice technology and service management principles and processes. The service combines HPE best practices along with utilization by HPE of tools that provide automation for remote onboarding and management of the technologies to be supported. The activities provided can be characterized by the following descriptions:
HPE GreenLake Management Services includes operation of the hardware and included base operating system. In addition, HANA DB Management and SAP Basis Administration can be included if required through a defined Statement of Work (SOW) to be agreed upon according to specific Customer requirements. | Performance consultation service | This performance advisory service provides access to a named performance technical consultant. This resource is referred to as a dedicated advisory performance consultant (DAPC) for the provision of eligible IT performance advisory services on the covered SAP HANA environment for a number of days. These services are provided remotely. At the start of the service, HPE provides the Customer with a welcome letter identifying the DAPC and the process to request these advisory services. The Customer can also contact the DAPC to request services through the HPE provided email, which is monitored by the DAPC or a designate (in case of DAPC absence). Emails are monitored during HPE business days and hours. HPE will endeavor to respond to these emails within two business days to discuss and determine the next steps regarding the request. Working with the Customer, HPE will determine if a phone call or video conference is required to fully evaluate the request for services. As noted previously, the scope of these services is preventive advisory services on IT performance matters specific to the covered SAP HANA environment, for example, specific performance reporting, performance analysis, general performance advice, or participation in a performance review meeting. HPE reserves the right to review all requests and make the final determination as to whether the request falls under the scope of these DAPC services. |
| Operate SAP Basis environments | HPE will perform day-to-day administration and configuration of the core SAP Basis services to maintain them in an operational status. Changes to configurations can be requested through the ITSM change management process. |
| Operate SAP HANA database | HPE will perform standard database administration activities to keep the HANA database running and available for Customer use. Changes to database configuration can be requested through the ITSM change management process. |

Services description
HPE GreenLake Flex Solution built for SAP HANA® Customer responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Customer will be responsible for system management activities except for those that may be included in the SOW.
- Advise HPE of changes to any GALs on the system as part of the change management process.

- Customer acknowledges and agrees that HPE may use resources outside the country of purchase for delivery of these services unless otherwise specified as part of a service feature description.
- HPE is not responsible for any infrastructure changes and configuration to the Customer’s systems that may interface to the HPE GreenLake Flex Solution built for SAP HANA®
- HPE may use resources outside the country of purchase for delivery of these services
