HPE Networking Instant On Access Points AP21
The HPE Networking Instant On Access Points AP21 is the low-density work horse of the Wi-Fi 6 series. Hosting up to 1.5 Gbps over its two dual-band antennas, this access point will bring high speed connectivity to areas 1500 square feet and smaller. The AP21 access point is ideal for set and forget deployments that need only 1-2 APs, like small retail stores, pop-up shops, and startups.
HPE Networking Instant On Access Points AP22
The HPE Networking Instant On Access Points AP22 is our core Wi-Fi 6 access point that gives you the bang for your buck. It hosts a 2x2 antenna array supporting 2 spatial streams with a max aggregate data rate of 1.7 Gbps. The AP22 is ideal for corporate offices, healthcare facilities and hybrid classrooms that require EN certification, or hybrid classrooms. This access point has the same security and reliability as the AP25 at a more attractive price.
HPE Networking Instant On Access Points AP22D
The HPE Networking Instant On Access Points AP22D is the more versatile version of the AP22. It has the same antenna array and spatial streams (2x2:2) but has a 2.5GbE uplink port and four 1GbE downlink ports for hardwired devices. The AP22D can also supply Power over Ethernet (PoE) to two of the downlink ports at 15W (PoE 802.3af) when powered with Class 6 PoE 802.3bt or the optional DC power supply. When powered by Class 4 PoE 802.3at, the AP22D will supply power to one port at 15W (PoE 802.3af). This makes the AP22D great for IP phones or receipt printers in areas that need more Ethernet ports and only one in-room Ethernet port is available. Great for boutique hotel rooms, home offices, or reception areas.
HPE Networking Instant On Access Points AP25
The HPE Networking Instant On Access Points AP25 is our top performer, with a 4x4 antenna array that supports 4 spatial streams to provide coverage and speed in device-dense networks, and is best if used in common areas where 100 or more of your customers can gather. The AP25 2.5GbE uplink port enables more network bandwidth to support the wireless maximum 5.3Gbps throughput for connected clients compared to traditional 1GbE uplink in other Wi-Fi 6 access points.

Take your business outdoors with the HPE Networking Instant On Access Points AP27. This fast outdoor Wi-Fi 6 AP is IP67 rated, keeping you connected through hot summers, frigid winters, rain, sleet, and snow. Able to withstand temperatures from temperatures from -40°F to 149°F, you can confidently connect up to 75 devices over Wi-Fi 6 to extend coverage to parking lots, outdoor workspaces, and hotel pools.

Next-Generation 802.11ax Wi-Fi Features
160MHZ Client Bandwidth Support (Ap25 Exclusive)
With 160MHz bandwidth support in 11ax, HE160 mode delivers higher performance with 160MHz supported clients. Smart Mesh performance can be doubled with the 160MHz bandwidth support on 5GHz backhaul.
Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA)
Allows access points (APs) to handle multiple Wi-Fi 6-capable clients on each channel simultaneously regardless of device or traffic type. This improves efficiency by boosting overall capacity, while reducing latency.
Target Wake Time (TWT)
Ideal for IoTs that communicate infrequently, TWT establishes a schedule for when clients need to communicate with an AP. This helps reduce power consumption, extending the battery life of clients.
Multiuser, Multiple Input, Multiple Output (MU-MIMO)
Allows you to serve multiple clients (Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 6) at the same time.
1024-Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (1024-Qam)
Enables a 25% data increase over 256 QAM, improving throughput in your access points and devices.
SSID Scheduling
Allows you to automatically enable or disable your networks. If you have certain visitor hours or times for guests to connect, easily set the network schedule in the Instant On app or web portal to provide connectivity to those users.
Smart Mesh
Extend your network coverage wirelessly using the Smart Mesh feature. Once the first AP is connected, simply plug in the 2nd AP to a second power source with the DC power adapter and with a single click or tap, the secondary APs will connect to the primary
AP over the 5Ghz wireless band. Extended network coverage without the network cables.
Trusted Platform Module (TPM)
All HPE NetworkingInstant On Access Points have an installed TPM for secure storage of credentials, keys, and boot codes.
Basic Service Set Coloring (BSS Coloring)
Allows the network to assign a “color” tag to a channel and reduce the threshold for interference. Network performance is improved because APs on the same channel can be closer together and still transmit at the same time if they are different colors.
HPE Networking Advanced Cellular Coexistence (ACC)
Uses built-in filtering to automatically minimize the impact of interference from cellular networks, distributed antenna systems (DAS), and commercial small-cell or femtocell equipment.
Low Density Parity Check (LDPC)
Delivers high-efficiency error correction for increased throughout.
Transmit Beamforming (TxBF)
Delivers increased signal reliability and range.
ClientMatch
Uses a system-level view of the entire network to continuously monitor the health of connected devices. The data of these connected devices is shared among APs to prevent over-subscriptions. ClientMatch will dynamically move clients appropriately without the need for intervention.
Active Ratio Management (Arm)
Solves wireless networking challenges for large or dense installs that support mobile devices like phones or laptops. ARM will intelligently adjust the channel and transmit power for frequency to ensure all users are allowed access. ARM is also application-aware and will change a device’s band depending on the type of networking traffic they are utilizing.

PPPoE and Static IP
The HPE Networking Instant On Access Points can handle PPPoE configuration with VLAN support, and act as a DHCP server, providing IP addresses to the wireless network. Assigning a static IP address on an access point allows users to use the same IP address regardless of where the access point is connected, making it easier to access its setup page for any configuration changes.
