SAP certified Scale-up configurations for SAP HANA use cases

Ideal for SAP Business Suite on HANA (SoH) or S/4HANA use cases, the HPE Superdome Flex Solutions for SAP HANA are certified with up to 24TB of memory in a Scale-up configuration. Configurations range from 4 CPUs with 3TB of memory, to 32 CPUs and 24TB of memory.

SAP certified Scale-out configurations for SAP HANA use cases

Ideal for Business Warehousing on HANA (BWoH) or B/4HANA use cases, the HPE Superdome Flex Solutions for SAP HANA are certified with up to 288TB of total memory in a scale-out system. Scale-out node sizes range from 4 CPUs with 3TB of memory per node, to 32 CPUs with 24TB of memory per node.

Warranty Services

Hewlett Packard Enterprise branded hardware and options qualified for the HPE Superdome Flex Server are covered by a global limited warranty and supported by HPE Services and a worldwide network of HPE Authorized Channel Partners. The HPE branded hardware and options diagnostic support and repair is available for three years from date of purchase, or the warranty length of the server they are attached to, whichever is greater. Additional support may be covered under the warranty or available through additional support packages. − Warranty varies by component. Server Warranty includes 3-Year Parts, 3-Year Labor, 3-Year Onsite support with next business day response. Warranty repairs may be accomplished through the use of Customer Self Repair (CSR) parts. These parts fall into two categories: 1) Mandatory CSR parts are designed for easy replacement. A travel and labor charge will result when customers decline to replace a Mandatory CSR part; 2) Optional CSR parts are also designed for easy replacement but may involve added complexity. Hewlett Packard Enterprise will provide HPE-supported replacement parts and materials necessary to maintain the covered hardware product in operating condition, including parts and materials for available and recommended engineering improvements.

Parts and components that have reached their maximum supported lifetime and/or the maximum usage limitations as set forth in the manufacturer's operating manual, product QuickSpecs, or the technical product data sheet will not be provided, repaired, or replaced as part of these services.

The defective media retention service feature option applies only to Disk or eligible SSD/Flash Drives replaced by Hewlett Packard Enterprise due to malfunction.

• − A choice of processors based on the Intel® Xeon® Scalable Platform architecture is available. 4 CPUs are required per Base or Expansion chassis
• − For both scale-up or scale-out production use cases, when deployed as an appliance, only the Intel® Xeon® Platinum 8x76, 8x76M, 8x76L, 8x80, 8x80M or 8x80L CPUs are allowed. For scale-up use cases, when deployed as SAP Tailored Datacenter Integration (TDI) compute blocks, any Intel Xeon Platinum or Gold CPU with 8 cores or more can be used for production use cases for configurations up to 16 CPUs. For scale-out use cases, only the Intel® Xeon® Platinum CPUs can be used

• − Configurations can be ordered with DRAM with up to a total of 24TB of memory in a scale-up system with either 16 or 32 CPUs. A choice of 64GB and 128GB DIMMs is available for a total memory capacity up to 24TB in a 16 CPU configuration using 128GB DIMMs, or up to 24TB in a 32 CPU configuration using 64GB DIMMs
• − Configurations with a combination of DRAM and HPE Persistent Memory featuring Intel® Optane™ DC Persistent Memory are available up to 16 CPUs in a scale-up configuration, with a total of 24TB of memory.
• − Select the quantity of memory required, based on SAP certified sizes for the Scale-up system

Dual Purpose Storage

• − Additional storage can be added in a dual purpose configuration in high availability and disaster tolerance scenarios, allowing for dual role of a secondary scale-out instance as both a failover target, or as a secondary test or development instance
