Node Control Tab

Description of the Node Control tab

The Node Control tab yields a high-level view of the Lustre file system and node status, providing control of the nodes, and their high availability partners and resources.

More information on these Node Control tab commands and operations:
  • To start and stop the file system, see the Manage Nodes topic.
  • To manually hand off resources, see the Manage Failover topic.
  • To perform the manual take back or hand off resources, see the Manage Failback topic.
  • To monitor Lustre, see the Status and Conditions icon descriptions that follow.

Note: Node status with the node details may also be viewed on the Dashboard tab with the Node Status widget.

In the Node Filter pane, at the left side of the Node Control tab, the node types in the file system are listed. Select a node type to display the related nodes or filtered nodes in the Node Interactive pane, at the right side of the Node Control tab. Specific nodes can be managed or monitored from there.

Commands that are relative to defined nodes are listed under the first drop-down menu button, All Nodes in Filter. The adjacent drop-down menu button, Selected Nodes, lists commands relative to node(s) that are selected in the Node Interactive pane.

To select or clear a node, click the node row. The select feature acts as a toggle, the node is either selected (blue shading) or not (no shading). To make multiple selections, continue clicking additional nodes. To de-select a node, click again and the blue highlight will be removed.

When two (2) nodes have just been asynchronously updated, they are highlighted temporarily with a yellow background, which disappears shortly after.

HA partner rows are identified with connecting bars at the left side of the rows:
