Selected Node Commands
Description of Node Control tab commands that act only on selected nodes in the file system
Find the Selected Nodes command menu on the Node Control tab. When one (1) of the available commands is selected, the command acts upon all nodes that are selected in the Node Interactive pane. The Selected Nodes command menu lists commands that act on the selected node(s). Any commands that are not available on the menu (usually because of the file system state) are grayed out.
To select one (1) or more nodes in the Node Interactive pane, click anywhere in the row containing the hostname. All selected rows are highlighted in blue.
| Command | Command Action |
|---|---|
| Start Lustre... | Mounts all targets on the selected nodes and starts servicing Lustre clients |
| Stop Lustre... | Unmounts all targets on the selected nodes and stops servicing Lustre clients |
| Hand Off to <HA group name>... | Hands off (fails over) the assigned HA resources of the selected nodes to their HA partner nodes |
| Take Back from <HA group name>... | Takes back (fails back) the assigned HA resources of selected nodes from their HA partner nodes |
| Shutdown... | Initiates a graceful shutdown of the selected nodes in an order that minimizes Lustre errors. When this command runs, a dialog box will prompt to hand off the assigned HA resources of the selected nodes to their failover partner nodes or skip failover and take the HA resources offline before the node shuts down. |
| Reboot... | Initiates a graceful reboot of the selected nodes. When this command is run, a dialog box will prompt to confirm node reboot. When the nodes reboot, their targets (OSTs) go offline temporarily. |
| Cycle... | Equivalent to turning off the selected node hardware power followed by immediately turning power back on. This may cause data loss. CAUTION: This command will cause unsaved in-flight data to be lost. |
| Power On... | Powers on the selected nodes |
| Mimimum Rebuild Rates | Provides the option to set rebuild rates for selected nodes for single drive or multiple drive failures. While the rebuild rate can be set for all nodes, it only applies to nodes that have RAID arrays. |
