Node Interactive

About the Node Interactive pane of the Node Control tab

Locate the Node Interactive pane at the right side of the Node Control tab. This area is used to display all nodes that match the filter selected in the Node Filter pane. From the Node Interactive pane, all or specific nodes can be selected, and then node-related actions performed using either the All Nodes in Filter menu or the Selected Nodes menu.

The node interactive display includes the following information:
Table 1. Node Interactive Display Fields
Node Info FieldDescription
Hostname Hostname assigned to the node
RoleThe node role; these include MGMT, MGS, MDS, and OSS
Power StateThe node power state. Refer to the Status and Conditions Icons topic for descriptions of the possible power states.
Service StateThe node service state. Refer to the Status and Conditions Icons topic for description of the possible service states.
Last CommandDisplays the last command that was run on the node
MountedNumber of targets mounted on the node. The parenthetical value in the column heading is the total number of targets mounted across all nodes in the file system.

HA ResourcesIndicates whether HA resources (Lustre targets) are local to the node or assigned to its HA partner (paired node)
HA PartnerThe name of the partner node
Note: Each node and its HA partner are organized into odd-/even-numbered pairs. Sonexion System Manager uses this even/odd numbering scheme to control the assignment of HA resources (OSTs and MDTs) between the paired nodes.
Note: To customize columns that display the Node Interactive pane, click the icon at the right of the column headings; then selecting the wanted columns.

The MGMT, MDS, and MGS services are broken down to an MGMT node plus a backup and an MDS/MGS node plus a backup.

There are eight (8) targets per OSS node pair.
