Remove RAID Card

Remove the RAID card from a CS-Storm chassis.

  • Tools: Phillips screwdriver
  • Server Location: The server is removed from the rack, placed on a stable ESD-safe work surface, and the cover is removed.

The slot 4 flex-foil cable supports a PCI Gen3x16 slot. RAID cards can be installed in this slot and cabled to the hard disk backplanes to support different RAID configurations.

  1. Disconnect the SATA cable for RAID ports 0-3 and 4-7.
  2. Remove 1 screw that secures the RAID card to the chassis.

  3. Remove the RAID card and place it on an ESD-safe work surface.
