iLO Direct Access
The iLO Direct Access feature enables network access to any iLO on a server blade. When enabled, direct communication with each iLO from an outside network is available, and directly connected to the management network.
When iLO Direct Access is disabled, each iLO will not be directly accessible to the outside network, and will not be required to obtain IPs from the management network. Port forwarding is used by HPE Moonshot Chassis Manager 2.0 instead, and to access iLO you must determine which forwarded port to use.
If iLO direct access mode is modified, all the active user sessions are ended. Users are not allowed to log in until the iLO direct access mode change is complete. How to determine addresses and ports when iLO Direct Access is disabled
When iLO Direct Access is disabled, determine the address of any iLO using the following method.
https://CM 2.0 IP:(slot number+starting port), where:
CM 2.0 IPis the IP address of the HPE Moonshot Chassis Manager 2.0.Slot numberis a number from 1 to 45, corresponding to the slot in which the server blade is installed.- Starting port is the port number at which different methods of iLO access begin:
600: iLO Integrated Remote Console
645: iLO Virtual Media
735: iLO HTTPS (web interface and RESTful interface)
825: iLO SSH
For example, assume that the HPE Moonshot Chassis Manager 2.0 IP address is 192.0.2.15, and the iLO to be accessed is on the server blade in slot 5.
- To access the iLO HTTPS, enter https://192.0.2.15:740 as the browser address.
- The iLO Integrated Remote Console would then use 192.0.2.15, port 605.
- The iLO virtual media would then use 192.0.2.15, port 650.
- To open an SSH session to the iLO CLI, you would use the address 192.0.2.15, port 830.

iLO Links
Enabling this option forces the use of the Moonshot CM 2.0 IPv4 address in the iLO hyperlinks if iLO Direct Access is disabled and the Moonshot CM 2.0 is accessed using its FQDN.
Role: Administrator with Chassis access
- Click Management Network in the navigation tree.
- Click the iLO Direct Access tab.
- Enable or disable Force use of IPv4 address in iLO hyperlinks when iLO Direct Access is disabled.
