Moonshot CM 2.0 user accounts
Moonshot CM 2.0 enables you to manage user accounts stored locally.
- Administartor
- All actions and changes can be performed to any system configuration including the persistent system configuration.
- Operator
- All actions are allowed in line with administrator, but cannot perform any changes to the persistent system configuration.
- User
- Few actions are allowed, but, cannot perform any changes to the system configuration.
Chassis access — Indicates whether a specified user has a chassis access.
Blade access — If a custom access level is set for the specified user, this indicates which blades the user can access.
Switches access — If a custom access level is set for the specified user, this indicates which switches the user can access.

Moonshot CM 2.0 user account options
User Name appears in the user list on the User Administration page. The maximum length for a user name is 31 characters. The User Name must use printable characters. Assigning descriptive user names can help you to identify the owner of each login name.
Role identifies the privilege level of the user name, user or admin.
Chassis Access idetifies whether the user has access to chassis.
Blades provides information related to which blade(s) the user has access.
Swithces provides information related to which switch or swithces the user has access.
Password guidelines
Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends that you follow these password guidelines when you create and update user accounts.
When working with passwords:
Do not write down or record passwords.
Do not share passwords with others.
Do not use passwords that are made up of words found in a dictionary.
Do not use passwords that contain obvious words, such as the company name, product name, user name, or login name.
Change passwords regularly.
Keep the Moonshot CM 2.0 default credentials in a safe place.
Use strong passwords with at least three of the following characteristics:
One numeric character
One special character
One lowercase character
One uppercase character
