Hand Back Node Resources

Hand back resources from a node to its recovered HA partner

Before performing this operation, select the target nodes, as described in the Use Node Filters topic. In this precedure, the node to select is the HA partner of the node that was previously failed over.

Once the issue with the node is corrected and the node is returned to online status, its resources that were handed off to the partner node can now be handed back from the HA partner node.

To hand back node resources:

  1. Navigate to the Node Control tab.
  2. Select a filter from the Node Filter pane.
  3. Select the HA partner of the node that was previously failed over, by clicking the node hostname in the Node Interactive pane.
  4. Click the Selected Nodes button and choose Hand Back <hostname> Resources... from the menu.
    The menu item is dynamic and <hostname> will change to match the hostname of the selected node's HA partner.

    A confirmation window will appear asking the operator to confirm the hand back request.

  5. Click Hand Back to complete the operation. Click Cancel to cancel the operation.
