Configure the firewall settings in the Configure tab
By default, Sonexion configures a firewall on the nodes that allows only Lustre traffic on the high-speed Lustre Client Network (LCN). The Firewall Settings feature allows this restriction to be relaxed so that other kinds of traffic can be sent over this network.
- Click Firewall Settings in the list of features on the left side of the screen.
- Select the desired level of Firewall protection by click one of the radio buttons.
Options:

| On | Default setting, only Lustre nodes are protected. Only Lustre traffic is allowed at the LDN addresses on Lustre nodes. | Recommended |
| No filtering | Any traffic is allowed over the Lustre Client Network. No filtering at the LDN addresses; filtering still active on other ports. | Risky |
| Off | No firewall. The firewall is completely stopped on all Lustre nodes, but is active on the management (MGMT) nodes. | Dangerous |
- Click the Apply button to save the changes.
