Activating your Proactive Care support will ensure that you receive the full benefits of your service.
Step 1: Link your Support Agreements
Link your Support Agreements to establish your private access to your report information.
If you don’t already have an HPE Passport, you’ll be prompted to create one at the beginning of this step.
Linking your support agreements gets you access to your proactive care reports, enables you to submit, update, and review support cases via Support Case Manager. You can also research and obtain software updates and licenses.
What if I don’t link my support agreements?
You must link your support agreements to your HPE Passport ID to receive the Proactive Scan, FW SW Version, and Incident reports that are an integral part of your Proactive Care service. The reports will be published to your HPE Support Center account.
Do I need to link my agreements if I have channel partner delivery?
Yes. You must link your support agreements to your HPE Passport ID is required in order for you to receive the Proactive Scan, FW SW Version, and Incident reports that are an integral part of your Proactive Care service. Your Channel Partner can also have visibility to your reports and may review them with you, but the reports will be published to your HPE Support Center account.
What options do I have when linking my support agreements?
When you link a support agreement you can choose whether you want to retain single control or allow other HPE Support Center users to also link to it. See the Link support agreements page on the HPE Support Center for details.
Step 2: Get Connected
Connect your devices to HPE to enable health checks, real time monitoring and automated support case creation.
Connecting your devices provides the information needed to identify risk in your environment and avoid problems. Connecting your devices is required to deliver the problem prevention and remote monitoring service features of Proactive Care Service
What if I don’t connect my devices?
Connecting your devices provides the information needed to identify risk in your environment and avoid problems. Proactive recommendations are dependent on data provided through connected devices. The data is used to compare with best practice rules developed from HPE experienced experts and reference data to provide recommendations to reduce risk in your devices.
Do I need to connect if I have agentless devices?
Connectivity options are available when connecting HPE ProLiant Gen8 Servers and HPE BladeSystem c-Class Enclosures for HPE Proactive Care service. When using the agentless or Direct Connect options to configure remote connectivity Agentless Management System (AMS) is required to be enabled for HPE Proactive Care services.
