Overview

451 Research’s inaugural Voice of the Enterprise: DevOps survey shows that 36% of organizations have currently adopted Kubernetes, and another 21% are in the discovery/proof-of-concept phase.

The enthusiasm for Kubernetes has resulted in more attention from traditional infrastructure vendors, which see the need to support container- and Kubernetes-based applications as critical to addressing the growing interest in cloud-native technologies and hybrid cloud deployments. In this case, the result is the HPE Container Platform, which uses open source Kubernetes and acquired technologies to containerize applications in a hybrid cloud environment. HPE asserts that the HPE Container Platform will provide a secure multi-tenant control plane for deploying multiple on-premises or cloud-based Kubernetes clusters.
