HPE (Aruba) positioned as a leader five years running in 2022 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for SD-WAN report

SAN JOSE, Calif. – September 15, 2022 – Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company (NYSE: HPE), today announced that Gartner has recognized HPE (Aruba) as a Leader in the 2022 Gartner Magic Quadrant for SD-WAN. This is the fifth year in a row that HPE (Aruba) has been positioned in the Leaders Quadrant by Gartner.

In the Magic Quadrant for SD-WAN report, Gartner evaluated vendors based on two primary criteria: Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute. The report includes a summary of each vendor, as well as an assessment of each vendor’s strengths and cautions.

In the report, Gartner points out some key trends in the market, including the trend “to more autonomous and self-driving networks in which AI/ML technologies can be leveraged to make networking decisions without or with limited human intervention.” Gartner also noted the increasing interest in flexible consumption models such as network as a service (NaaS). Gartner forecasts that by 2026, 30% of new SD-WAN procurements will be in some form of NaaS, which is a major increase from near 0% in 2022.
