SÃO PAULO, Brazil – August 31, 2021 – Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE: HPE) today announced that Krona Tubos e Conexões, a leading hydraulic and electrical solutions company in Brazil and Latin America, has selected HPE to provide next-generation sustainable IT infrastructure to streamline operations and support strong business growth. The solution is delivered in partnership with Sercompe, a leading data center infrastructure reseller and HPE authorized partner. It will support all of Krona’s business critical apps – from sales and core manufacturing, to HR, enabling more efficient and sustainable operations while also unlocking data-driven insights to inform key business decisions.

The solution is powered by HPE Synergy, a composable, software-defined infrastructure, providing cloud-like agility, extreme resiliency, and seamless scalability to support business-critical workloads, and uses HPE Primera intelligent storage for mission-critical applications.

Krona Tubos e Conexões is one of the largest cold and hot water, sewage, electrical and hydraulic accessories and solutions manufacturers in Brazil, with over 10,000 active customers and more than 2,000 employees. As part of the company’s efforts to modernize its operations, Krona Tubos e Conexões was looking to update its IT infrastructure to increase performance and reliability, and to help accelerate business growth. With COVID-19 having an adverse effect on global supply chains, the company also saw a rapid increase in local demand, which further increased the need for implementing a robust IT system that can respond to the peaks and demands quickly and efficiently.

“With HPE we know we have a reliable technology partner that combines the technological expertise with a tailored solution that will help us enhance our operations, improve performance, and support new business demands,” said Fernando Oliveira, Managing Director at Krona. “We believe that with a modernized infrastructure and greater efficiency, we’ll be able to achieve growth in both the short and long-term, allowing us to adapt our business to the ever-changing environment.”

Bringing together the powerful capabilities from both HPE Synergy and HPE Primera, will create a cloud-like experience for Krona Tubos e Conexões, empowering better agility and scalability, and streamlining Krona’s data-centric workloads and workflow. HPE will also provide further support for the data center modernization through HPE Pointnext services.

“We are delighted to build on our existing partnership with Krona and support the company on its journey to unlocking new data-driven business insights and delivering greater efficiency that will directly benefit the business and its customers,” said Ricardo Emmerich, managing director, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Brazil. “With the new HPE-driven solution, Krona’s team will be able to rely on a next generation, high performance IT environment that will help the business reach new highs.”

Krona is a long-standing HPE customer, having selected HPE technology to support its IT infrastructure for over 15 years. HPE’s extensive experience and understanding of the business meant that it was able to design a unique solution that meets Krona’ specific needs. As an HPE Platinum partner, Sercompe utilized its knowledge and experience from previous work with Krona to enable a seamless installation of the solution.
