Hewlett Packard Enterprise/ New H3C delivers double digit market share and attains number one position in second quarter of 2019 worldwide server revenue tracker
HPE/New H3C attains 18 percent share of total server revenue in tied number one position for worldwide server market, and HPE takes lead in three server classes
- HPE/New H3C gained 1.5 percentage points in server market share during the second quarter of 2019
- HPE/New H3C tie for the number one position in the server market and outperform in three server classes
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) today announced it gained 1.5 percentage points in market share, and attained a tie for the number one position in the server market during the second quarter of 2019, according to the IDC Worldwide Quarterly Server Tracker. In addition, HPE/New H3C outperformed all competitors in worldwide revenue for blade, 4-socket x86, and modular servers.
HPE/New H3C achieved 18 percent of worldwide server market share
HPE/New H3C achieved 18 percent market share, twice as much than each of the following three vendors – Inspur/Inspur Power Systems (7.2 percent), Lenovo (6.1 percent) and IBM (5.9 percent).
HPE maintains a strong presence in China through a unique partnership with New H3C, in which HPE owns a 49 percent stake and the Chinese company Unisplendour Corporation owns a 51 percent share. This structure enables HPE to participate in the fastest-growing IT market in the world, through HPE’s sale of products to New H3C for resale in the China market.
