Hewlett Packard Enterprise to Highlight Future of Intuitive and Powerful Cybersecurity at HPE Protect 2016
Headliner Alex Tapscott, co-author of Blockchain Revolution, to deliver keynote address on expansion and impact of blockchain on security industry
PALO ALTO, Calif., August 10, 2016 – Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) today announced the keynote speakers and technically focused breakout sessions for its annual enterprise security user conference, HPE Protect 2016, taking place Sept. 13-16 in National Harbor, Md.
HPE Protect 2016 will bring together more than 2,000 security professionals to network, collaborate and explore more powerful approaches to overcome the increasing complexities of creating, deploying and maintaining an effective enterprise security posture.
HPE will unveil its future strategy around intelligent driven security operations, and new innovative solutions that combine power and flexibility with ease-of-use. Attendees will also learn how they can best focus their security resources on protecting business-critical digital assets in a DevOps and data-driven economy, and will have access to HPE’s latest security portfolio offerings and roadmap. HPE will share perspectives on implementing more intuitive and powerful approaches to security that balance regulatory requirements and compliance, threats, asset protection, and cyber-resiliency while accelerating innovation.
Alex Tapscott, co-author of Blockchain Revolution, will headline the conference, discussing the expansion of blockchain across new industries and how it is expected to change the security landscape. In addition to keynote presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to select from more than 150 break-out sessions led by HPE executives and industry experts. These focused sessions offer participants added insight into the latest trends, including the evolving intelligence-driven security operations center (SOC), public sector security, data security, network security, DevSecOps, application security, and information management & governance.

At the general session on Wednesday, Sept. 14, from 9 to 11 a.m. ET, HPE, customers and industry experts will discuss the evolving security landscape, real-world use cases, and unveil new products and demos. Speakers include:

On Thursday, Sept. 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET, HPE will partner with FedScoop to host The Federal Cybersecurity Summit, bringing together cybersecurity experts from the public and private sectors to explore combat-ready strategies to prepare for and uncover invisible threats, transform adversaries into competitors and overcome legacy challenges. A lineup of industry experts from the federal government, HPE and FedScoop will provide actionable insight into topics such as identification of invisible threats, legacy system challenges, and approaches to transform adversaries into competitors.
