Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has become a day-1 member of GAIA-X AISBL, an international non-profit association which consolidates and facilitates work and collaboration within the GAIA-X community. The goal of the GAIA-X project is to create Europe‘s next generation of data infrastructure: a secure, federated and decentralized system that meets the highest standards of digital sovereignty while promoting innovation. GAIA-X AISBL will develop technical solutions and regulatory frameworks, and ensure that necessary central facilities and services are made available.
“The goals of the GAIA-X project dovetail with HPE’s strategy to enable a consistent and seamless experience across all clouds and edges, so customers can unlock value from all of their data, regardless where they reside,” said Johannes Koch, Managing Director Germany, Senior Vice President DACH, HPE. “While GAIA-X has been established in Europe, we believe its relevance is global – because it provides an answer to the crucial question of the upcoming digital era: how to create network effects in an open, decentralized world that is not controlled by middlemen, but where everybody is a digital sovereign. GAIA-X aims to regain the freedom of the internet without losing the benefits we’ve achieved over the years.”
