Hewlett Packard Enterprise opens Manchester office and unveils new jobs in the city

Manchester, UK – May 9, 2019 – Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has officially opened its new office at the Manchester Technology Centre and announced a recruitment drive in the city.
Yesterday, the company hosted staff and guests from all over the country at a launch event hosted by Marc Waters, HPE’s Managing Director for UK & Ireland. The Manchester Technology Centre site with seats for over 140 employees will serve as a temporary home in the city before HPE moves into office space at Manchester’s new city neighbourhood, Circle Square, in 2020.
HPE has made a long term commitment to the city and is currently advertising for more than 40 brand new roles at the new office which are open for applications now. The company is currently seeking 15 apprentices, as well as graduates, early careers and experienced hires to start work at the new Manchester city centre office. Open roles include sales, pre-sales and business analysts with additional recruitment planned later in the year. Other staff are moving to Manchester from existing HPE sites in Warrington, London, Bracknell and Erskine, near Glasgow.
The company, which operates across seven locations in the UK in Bracknell, London, Manchester, Bristol, Belfast, Warrington, and Erskine will have capacity to locate almost 300 of its UK employees at its new Circle Square home. HPE aims to complete the move into No. 1 Circle Square, occupying 20,000 square feet on the seventh floor, in summer 2020. HPE will take up a 10-year lease for the managed office space, which includes over 200 permanent seats, and capacity for almost 100 more in secondary seating.

The interim office at Manchester Technology Centre has been custom designed to HPE’s specifications, including the use of networking technology from Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, with management provided by HPE Pointnext.
