HPE appoints Simon Ewington to lead Worldwide Partner and Channel Ecosystem


Simon Ewington named VP, WW Channel & Partner Ecosystem 

I am pleased to share that Simon Ewington has been named Vice President, WW Channel & Partner Ecosystem for Hewlett Packard Enterprise. In this role, Simon will drive efforts to expand business opportunities for our partners while accelerating HPE’s edge-to-cloud strategy.

The right leader at the right time

At the beginning of the year, Simon was named as the interim leader, while also maintaining his leadership role as VP of WW Distribution, as we conducted a thorough search for a permanent leader.

Simon is an incredible leader, with more than 27-years of experience at HP and HPE, along with a wealth of channel experience in both the regional and global partner ecosystem roles. Simon is well respected for his people leadership skills, his strategic expertise and his strength in execution. While serving in the role on an interim basis, Simon has led the team in accelerating HPE’s as-a-service momentum. The team has also delivered new offerings in the HPE Partner Ready Vantage program, including announcing in June at the HPE Partner Growth Summit enhanced opportunities and solutions to increase partner opportunities to capitalize on mega trends around Edge, Hybrid Cloud and AI. Simon has led the organization in delivering on these efforts while remaining focused on driving process changes to improve the partner experience. 

HPE has great momentum within the partner ecosystem and we are committed to continued investment. Through Q2 of this fiscal year, HPE GreenLake orders maintained the strong momentum we have seen with partners in the market. Our Edge business with HPE Aruba Networking continues to deliver strong growth through partners. And we are continuing to invest in these key areas, as well as within our Storage and Compute areas of the business, aligning with customer needs.

Simon will continue to drive the team’s efforts to build on our momentum, deliver against the HPE Partner Ready Vantage program, and help guide partners in leveraging the opportunity of the HPE GreenLake Cloud platform to align with customer outcomes and requirements.  

A strong leadership bench, edge-to-cloud

This appointment builds on leadership announcements we have made over the last several months as we continue to invest in supporting and further growing our partner ecosystem.

Recently, Leve Skov was announced as Vice President of Worldwide Channel Sales for HPE Aruba Networking. She is focused on evolving and growing our channel programs with a laser focus on supplying the comprehensive tools and support partners and the channel community need for success in this changing business environment.

Uli Seibold was appointed the new Vice President of HPE GreenLake Partner and Service Provider Sales. In this role, Uli is increasing the breadth and depth of HPE GreenLake within our channel partners and doubling down on our service provider strategy. Having led HPE GreenLake sales in Central Europe for several years, he has an outstanding grasp on the opportunity we have with HPE GreenLake, as well as how our current channel and service provider community can grow and expand their businesses.

Accelerating momentum within our channel partner community

We have some exciting launches coming up on November 1 with the HPE Partner Ready Vantage program including expanded competencies aligned to key portfolio areas and enablement for partner practice building through the Centers of Expertise.
