This week HPE celebrates International Women’s Day to bring attention to the incredible efforts and contributions of women within our own teams across the globe. At HPE, we strive every day to build a culture that is unconditionally inclusive.
We are honoring International Women’s Day this year through a global celebration hosted in Sofia, Bulgaria, where we will recognize women at HPE who have made significant achievements toward the betterment of our business and gender equality. This year’s theme is #EachforEqual which inspires individuals to be united in championing the cause and leveraging our unique perspectives for the common good.
Empowering all individuals equally
Inclusion and diversity are more than just a “check the box” activity at HPE – unconditional inclusion is a
business imperative. When people feel respected, involved, valued, and connected every day, they are able to be their best selves at work. We believe that everyone, regardless of gender, age, religion, sexual orientation or ethnicity, should be given equal opportunities to pursue and obtain the career experiences they want and need. And we understand that, for this to be successful, we must foster an inclusive, supportive environment for all.
We are proud that our efforts and inclusive culture are reflected in HPE’s 100% score in the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index 2020 and in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index for 2020 - recognizing the ways HPE promotes gender equity in the workplace.
HPE was also recognized by NAFE (National Association for Female Executives) for being one of the top companies for women to work for. The award acknowledges companies that support women in moving to senior ranks through leadership trainings, mentoring, sponsorship, company benefits, and the involvement of the CEO and top leaders. While we are thrilled to receive these honors, there is still work to be done, and we must continue to be a force for good in creating equality for all.
I hope one day we live in a world where we do not need a special day to promote gender equality, but in the meantime, International Women’s Day will continue to be one of the ways we advance the conversation.
Happy International Women’s Day to you all.
