- CRN have made their 2019 selections for Product of the Year and recognized HPE in five categories
- Winning products capture real-world satisfaction among HPE partners and their customers
Partner communities nominate HPE products and solutions as winners across the board
It’s that time of year again — awards season. We’re not talking movies or music but rather, recognizing the best tech in the industry. The judges at CRN have made their 2019 selections for Product of the Year and recognized HPE products in five — count’em — categories. We couldn’t be more pleased.
CRN recognized the groundbreaking capabilities of HPE products across three distinct sets of criteria: technology, revenue & profit, and customer demand. Winning in all three of these buckets lands an Overall Winner rating, of which HPE snagged three for IoT and Edge, Enterprise Software and General Purpose Servers. HPE also landed wins in two subcategories for the HPE Nimble Storage and HPE SimpliVity platforms.
What makes these awards better than your average is they are essentially users’ choice awards, with nominations based not only on editorial selection, but also on a survey CRN fielded to our partner communities. Per CRN, the survey was intended to accurately capture real-world satisfaction among our partners and their customers. Our partners nominated HPE over the course of the year based on our products’ technical merits, revenue and profit potential, and ability to fulfill customer demands — so the fact HPE won in five categories is something to be proud of.
The big story here is the critical advantage of HPE InfoSight
HPE InfoSight won the overall Enterprise Software category, and won the General Purpose Servers category specifically for its use on HPE ProLiant 325 servers. But before we get to the specifics of the awards, let’s talk for a moment about what HPE InfoSight is. Put simply, HPE InfoSight is the industry’s most advanced AI for infrastructure, and its AI-driven operations and insights are completely transforming IT’s approach to infrastructure management. HPE InfoSight has led the industry away from what was essentially a reactive management model to an intelligent, predictive model — and saved customers hours of lost productivity by proactively fixing issues before they impact operations. By extending the predictive analytics and recommendation capabilities of HPE InfoSight to HPE servers, we are enabling smarter, self-monitoring infrastructure for our customers.
CRN recognized the groundbreaking capabilities of HPE InfoSight from three distinct perspectives:
- As an innovative and easily integrated Technology. HPE InfoSight’s cloud-based machine learning and deep telemetry — having analyzed more than 1,250 trillion data points since 2010 — provide a seamless, global intelligence across environments to deliver autonomous IT.
- As a driver of Revenue and Profit. Industry analysts ESG found that, among real-world customers, HPE InfoSight predictive analytics drove an average 79% drop in operational expenses, cut trouble tickets by 73%, and mean time to resolution by 69%. HPE InfoSight also delivers significant business value well beyond support, like the ability to predict and prevent issues before they occur, and accelerate application performance.
- As a unique product that answers Customer Demand. HPE InfoSight’s demonstrated ability to enable infrastructure that is self-managing, self-optimizing, and self-healing while supporting hundreds of apps and thousands of workloads has radically changed customer expectations.
HPE’s work at the edge gets recognized
The second overall Product of the Year award goes to HPE Edgeline Converged Edge Systems — an industry-first infrastructure category that converges operational technology (OT) and enterprise-grade information technology (IT) in a single system, with small form factors protected against shock, vibration, humidity, and dust. HPE Edgeline Converged Edge Systems enable customers to process vast amounts of data directly at the edge and turn it into insight and action to drive efficiencies, new processes, and new business. Recent advancements include the HPE Edgeline OT Link Platform software, an open platform that automates the interplay between diverse OT and standard-IT based applications at the edge to enable intelligent and autonomous decision making. Also, the recently introduced HPE Edgeline EL8000 Converged Edge System helps communication service providers (CSP) capitalize on data-intensive, low-latency services for media delivery, connected mobility, and smart cities.
HPE Simplivity gets a nod — and an upgrade
Like HPE InfoSight, HPE’s Hyperconverged Infrastructure offering, HPE SimpliVity, was recognized as a driver of Revenue and Profit. Customers love the experience of using HPE SimpliVity — the speed of deployment, the simplicity of management, the ease of scale — because it accelerates their operations while lowering risk and improving the bottom line. And that’s even more true of HPE SimpliVity today, as we’ve just announced that HPE InfoSight now covers HPE SimpliVity as well. That’s right, you can now enjoy the power of HPE InfoSight — with its predictive resource planning, global visibility and analytics, and support case automation — in your HPE SimpliVity deployment. Sit back and let HPE InfoSight’s prescriptive recommendations take the guesswork out of managing infrastructure.
HPE Nimble Storage technology continues to lead the field
Finally, HPE Nimble Storage garnered its own Technology award in the Midrange Storage space. We’re excited that CRN has recognized the HPE Nimble Storage guaranteed six-nines of availability, industry-best effective capacity (see the HPE Store More Guarantee), and future-proof architecture as standout features in a very competitive market. HPE Nimble Storage was the first platform to benefit from HPE InfoSight’s transformational global intelligence, which means that HPE Nimble Storage customers have long avoided wasting precious time managing infrastructure and instead have been able to focus on driving their businesses.
