- HPE uniquely enables Communications Service Providers to drive a hybrid strategy that leverages a mix of traditional network infrastructure (physical) and virtualized (NFV-enabled) infrastructure.
- HPE continues to focus on automating a dynamic world through a cloud-ready OSS while also accelerating time to market. We believe this, among other things, helped HPE to be named a Leader.
How HPE is helping CSP's transform into agile Digital Service Providers to compete on the 5G-ready world stage
Communications Service Providers (CSPs) today have a strong sense of urgency to transform their business. This transformation imperative is driven by new demands on the network for capacity and performance and higher expectations from consumers seeking new and intuitive experiences.
We see CSPs shifting their focus to find ways to achieve enhanced agility in order to bring new services to market faster, to create differentiation from their competitors and to counter eroding market-, wallet-, and mind-share, as applications become more important to the consumer.
As the digital world is moving to the edge, everyone and everything is connected and sharing data. The speed at which this is happening is increasing exponentially, and the winners in this hyper-connected world will be the digital service providers (DSPs) who can act on all of their relevant data, at speed. Gartner recommends that CSPs should “invest in capabilities that allow operational abstraction to fully utilize your back-end SDN/NFV, 5G, IoT and big data investments, and overcome challenges to monetize new business models, such as network slicing.” Through our Cloud-ready solutions, we enable our customers to both manage their cloudified infrastructure and take advantage of edge automation for Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) and 5G, while simultaneously providing an innovative approach to modelling and designing services.
Gartner recently published their latest Magic Quadrant for Operations Support Systems. They identified that, “the OSS helps to improve operational efficiency, drive down costs and improve customer experience through a higher level of automated operational intelligence that drives business outcomes.”
Hewlett Packard Enterprise was named a leader in the Magic Quadrant. We feel this is further validation of our vision to help customers drive digital transformation. Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s solutions operate and orchestrate services in hybrid and virtualized environments, and leverage intent-based modelling and artificial intelligence, to allow our customers to accelerate time to market and enable zero touch operations.
The future belongs to the fast.
At HPE we are focused on delivering OSS for service agility in hybrid networks, and we’ve developed a robust product portfolio helping our customers to succeed in their digitalization journey. This powerful combination enables our partners, such as Swisscom, to achieve improved efficiency and to focus more on driving innovation. John de Keijzer, Head of Development for Swisscom stated that “by partnering with HPE, we were able to quickly design, develop and integrate a new product based on full automation, virtualized production and fast time to service.” Swisscom has achieved significant positive results from working with HPE, including 50% faster delivery of new enterprise services, 90% of fulfilment services becoming automated, and a service time reduction from 30 days to 5 minutes!
