VIDEO: Building HPE's Innovation Ecosystem
HPE's head of corporate strategy on customer needs and emerging technology
As we welcome thousands of customers and partners to HPE Discover Las Vegas this week, I have begun reflecting on how the world has changed since last year's event and predictions on what we will hear from our customers as we sit down with them over the next several days.
One common theme that I expect all of our customers to echo is that navigating today's hybrid IT environment is more challenging than ever and that they are looking to HPE to provide solutions to meet their specific needs.
At HPE, we are continually evolving our portfolio and capabilities so that we can create the most differentiated outcomes for our customers. In doing so, we leverage a combination of organic R&D, targeted acquisitions and venture investments. Over the past year, we have launched break-through platforms such as Synergy, acquired companies such as Nimble and SimpliVity, and created a number of partnerships via venture investments from our Pathfinder program.
Pathfinder, our venture investment and partnership vehicle, is a unique and differentiated program in the industry. The charter of this program is to identify and invest in the most disruptive companies, and integrate these technologies with our products to bring differentiated solutions to our customers. Since we launched the program in 2015, we have invested in 17 companies that are aligned to our strategy of making Hybrid IT Simple and Redefining the Intelligent Edge.
Many of our large customers are using these solutions to solve business-critical problems. While each of these successes reinforces our innovation strategy and shapes the types of solutions we bring to customers, our work is never done. We regularly meet with customers and emerging companies to better understand the rapidly changing technology landscape and how we can continue bringing value to enterprise business leaders.
Watch this video to hear directly from our customers Clark Golestani, CIO at Merck, and Roman MacKiewicz, CIO at Bloomberg Media, about how these Pathfinder solutions are delivering significant business value.
