HPE and Citrix Forge New Partnership to Drive Innovation from the Edge to the Core

This new initiative takes the best of our two companies' history of engineering excellence and world-class technology and combines it with a new level of strategic commitment on innovation to benefit HPE and Citrix customers. Together, we're investing in a long-term alliance to drive co-innovation in areas such as the Intelligent Edge, and hybrid IT, coupled with an expansion of HPE's global Citrix services expertise through our Pointnext organization. We're also investing in a deeper level of collaboration between our field and sales organizations designed to help customers and partners leverage the best of both organizations.

Bringing innovation to market

One of the driving forces behind the expanded HPE and Citrix partnership is the growth of hybrid infrastructure that requires the best of public and private cloud offerings to give organizations unprecedented efficiency and flexibility.

The HPE and Citrix collaboration is already bringing innovation to market at the Intelligent Edge. When Citrix announced their Citrix Ready HCI Workspace Appliance Program, HPE was the first partner to join. We unveiled a joint solution based on the HPE Edgeline Intelligent Edge Workspace Appliance with Atlantis USX software-defined storage, and Citrix Cloud and XenApp and XenDesktop Service to provide a high performance, low cost HCI appliance to mid-market customers and partners. We'll be working together to bring an expanded portfolio of offerings built on Citrix and HPE Edgeline in the next year.

HPE and Citrix are committed to a long term strategic roadmap to optimize Citrix workloads for any use case, including our Edgeline, as well as HPE SimpliVity 380 with OmniStack - to the industry-leading HPE Synergy platform and HPE's Microsoft Azure Stack offerings.

Not only will HPE and Citrix work together to optimize HPE's Azure Stack offerings for Citrix workloads, but we will work to ensure our mutual investments across all of our offerings with Microsoft are aligned for our customers' success.

HPE and Citrix together bring a deep knowledge and expertise of vertical industries, including financial services, healthcare, manufacturing and government to the market - and will partner together to drive a portfolio of "Secure Virtual Workspace" solutions to these target industries over the next three years.

The two companies are working with leading financial services companies and healthcare institutions to consolidate existing infrastructures to provide them with greater flexibility for managing applications across multiple environments through HPE and Citrix solutions such as Trader Workstation Solution built on HPE Moonshot and HPE Edgeline, as well as HPE Hyper Converged 380.
