Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Microsoft Azure Combine the Best of Public and Private Cloud

Many large companies are looking to move to the public cloud, but want to maintain a higher level of control over sensitive data. To address this challenge, HPE will partner with Microsoft to bring customers the right combination of public and private cloud. The expanded partnership brings together the flexibility of Microsoft Azures public cloud and the reliability of HPEs infrastructure and services.

Microsoft Azure is now a preferred public cloud provider for HPEs customers, and HPE is a preferred partner for providing infrastructure and services for Microsofts hybrid cloud offerings.

First Hyper-converged System

The first product in the HPE and Microsoft partnership is the HPE Hyper-Converged 250 for Microsoft Cloud Platform System Standard. As the first hyper-converged system with true hybrid cloud capabilities, this brings together industry-leading HPE ProLiant technology and Microsoft Azure innovation and empowers customers to choose where and how they use the cloud.

HPE and Microsoft will work together to make select HPE industry-leading application lifecycle management, big data and security software products available on the Azure public cloud.

HPE will offer hardware and software support, as well as installation. As part of the partnership, 5,000 HPE employees will be certified as Azure Cloud Architects through its Global Services Practice, which will extend HPE Enterprise Services to ensure that customers have a seamless hybrid cloud experience.

HPE will also open HPE Azure Centers of Excellencein Palo Alto, California, and Houston, Texasto invest in continuing advancements in Hybrid IT and composable infrastructure.
