Tom Black is the Executive Vice President and General Manager of HPE Storage; he is responsible for the vision and strategy transforming the business from hardware-driven to a cloud-native service. This game-changing shift gives customers the power to unleash their data from edge to cloud. The storage portfolio includes all-flash & hybrid storage, collaborative platforms, hyper-converged infrastructure, and primary storage solutions.
Tom has more than 25 years of experience in networking and four issued patents. Before joining HPE, Tom was the Senior Vice President & General Manager for Enterprise, Data Center and SMB switching products for Aruba, which HPE acquired.
Before joining HPE, Tom led hardware, silicon, and software teams within Arista Networks, Cisco, Cerent, and HP. He was an industry pioneer in Packet Optical networking products, and drove strategy, architecture, and early execution of large SP Routers.
Tom is based in San Jose, California.
