Malcolm Fry & Jeanne Morain
Malcolm Fry is an IT industry luminary with 50 years of experience in IT. He's authored many best-selling books, articles, and papers on ITSM, including "Building an ITIL-Based Service Management Department," and "ITIL Lite: A Road Map to Full or Partial ITIL Implementation." In 2009, Malcolm was awarded the coveted Ron Muns Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in the service management space. Most recently, he was awarded the IT Industry Legend and inducted into the HDI Hall of Fame.
Jeanne Morain is the principal researcher and consulting strategist at iSpeak Cloud. She has held various executive roles in strategy and product management with the Apollo Group, Flexera Software, VMware (Thinstall), and BMC Software (Marimba). Jeanne currently advises startups and large enterprises on implementing new products and strategies to enable excellence in the digital economy. She has two decades of experience in systems management, virtualization, and cloud computing, and has participated in the implementation of solutions for millions of users across Fortune 2000 companies. She has won numerous awards, including the 2016 International Association of IT Asset Manager's Fellow award for her work in business service management. She is also an author and co-author of books on BSM, virtualization, and cloud computing. Jeanne is best known for her customer- and partner-centric approach to research and solutions. Based on her involvement in dozens of enterprise software implementations and the lessons learned gathered through interviews with 180-plus business and technology leaders, she has developed templates, processes, and prescriptive guidance that help enterprises to not only accelerate the transition to cloud but also transform themselves to compete in the digital age. She is a noted industry speaker at VMworld, Interop, CloudSlam, IAITAM, CXO events, and other user conferences, and has written blogs and articles for trade publications. Jeanne holds a master's degree from Southern Illinois University and certification in ITIL.
