On the Goh
Dr. Eng Lim Goh, IT guru, breaks down technology off all sorts, tackling a wide variety of topics of interest to engineers and laymen alike.
Why on earth should we care about space?
Whether on Earth or in space, insights from data is the key to progress, helping us make better decisions, faster. In this episode of On The Goh, Dr. Goh shows how edge computing at the ultimate edge — space — is enabling astronauts to efficiently process data and run applications in ways that provide enormous benefits, from how organizations are improving safety for their workers to how hospitals treat patients in remote locations.
Return to Work
Dr. Eng Lim Goh is in Singapore, a central hub attracting the best workplace talent from around the world. Here, he discusses how the future of work has changed to an intelligent hybrid workplace comprised of remote and on-premise locations. What remains consistent is using HPE technology to keep businesses thriving, employees safe and their privacy secure.
Automotive strength testing for safety and comfort
HPE’s Dr. Eng Lim Goh visits Munich, home to 1.5 million people and the heart of Germany’s auto industry. More than 50,000 residents work in auto engineering, and the city has allocated 30 million euros to boost electric vehicles and the infrastructure for them. One area in which HPE is working with the auto industry is strength simulation, ensuring minimum use of materials while adhering to strict safety and comfort standards. Dr. Goh uses the example of a car door to demonstrate how HPE tests for strength with elastic range, vibrational, and destruction loading.
