Fighting neurodegenerative disease with memory-driven computing

Once bottlenecked by legacy systems, German research institute DZNE finds new hope for a breakthrough solution to Alzheimer’s, thanks to the unprecedented computational speeds of HPE memory-driven computing.

IT limitations are a major bottleneck in the fight against neurodegenerative disease. Traditional computing systems are too slow for petabytes of data, multiple data sources, and complex computational pipelines.

DZNE deployed HPE memory-driven computing to work with genomic data quickly and in a decentralized way, without losing time transmitting data among collaborators or even among its onsite compute tiers.
