The following status messages appear for clusters, as appropriate for each cluster:
- Created: A command to create or configure the cluster has been accepted but
has not started work yet.
- Starting: The cluster and virtual nodes are being created and/or
configured. Hovering the mouse over the status button opens a popup with additional
progress information.
- Ready (normal; check box icon): The cluster is ready to accept and process
jobs, and all services are operating.
- Warning: The cluster is operating, but some services are down. Clicking the
status opens a popup that summarizes the issue(s). Use the Services Status
tab of the Cluster Details screen to view the affected service(s). See Services Status Tab. The Node(s)
Info tab will also display the affected virtual node(s) in orange with the
notation Node in debug mode. See Node(s)
Info Tab.
- Isolated: The cluster is operating in Isolated Mode. This message will appear
along with the cluster status, such as isolated/Ready. See Cluster Isolation.
- Deleting: Indicates that a delete command had been accepted and is being
processed. Deleting a cluster that has an Error status will immediately
remove that cluster; otherwise, the cluster will remain in the Deleting state
for some time while virtual nodes are shut down.
- Updating: The cluster is applying a change to its configuration or its number
of virtual nodes.
- Error: Cluster creation or expansion has failed. See Common Cluster Errors. Clicking the status opens
a popup that summarizes the issue(s).
- Rebooting: The cluster is rebooting and will become Ready once this
process completes.
- Services Down: The cluster is operating, but one or more service(s) are not
running.
- Stopping: The cluster is stopping because a user clicked the Stop
button for that cluster in the Cluster Management screen.
- Stopped: The cluster is stopped and can be started by clicking the
Start button for that cluster in the Cluster Management
screen.
- Migrating: The cluster is stopped and is currently being migrated to one or
more new host(s).
- Updating Services: The cluster is adding, editing, or removing services. See
Adding a Cluster Service, Editing a Cluster Service, and Removing a Cluster Service.
