Reversing Remote Copy groups

Reverse option allows you to reverse the direction of the data synchronization from the Target system to the Source system for a selected RC Group.
NOTE:

In the Health section if the RC Group is in the Started state, the Reverse action cannot be performed as the I/O operation is ongoing in the source system. Therefore, you must stop the RC group before performing the Reverse action.

The Stop action stops the data synchronization from Primary to Secondary system for the selected RC group. The Stop action results in the loss of replicated data on the secondary system from primary volumes since their RC groups were stopped. Hence, Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends syncing the data before stopping the RC group.

Procedure
  1. On the main menu, select Data Protection > Remote Copy Groups.
  2. In the list pane, select a Remote Copy group, and then select Reverse on the Actions menu.
  3. Follow the instructions on the dialog that opens.
