Deploying the ESXi using the OS build plan
The HPE OneView for VMware vCenter contains six predefined OS build plans by default. Select the required OS build plan from HPE OneView for VMware Deployment Server to deploy the ESXi.
- Select Menu > Administration > Deployment.
- Select the required OS build plan.

Click Deploy OS for deploying the ESXi.
The Deploy OS dialog box provides the following OS details.
Parameters
Description
OS Build Plan
Displays the name of selected OS build plan.
OneView
Select the name of the HPE OneView server.
HPE Server Hardware
Displays all the available server hardware. Select the server hardware from the drop-down list.
Host Username
It is the username of the Host which will be displayed as Root by default for all the hosts.
Host Password
Enter the host password.
Server Profile Template
Select the Server Profile Template (SPT) from the drop-down list which containing all the SPTs having the same server hardware types as SHT.
Server Profile
Displays the name of the HPE OneView Server Profile applied.
Ignore Server Profile Warnings
Enabling the check box ensures the forcible creation of the server profile, even if the related server hardware associated with the server profile is in nonhealthy state.
DHCP
Represents the network configuration where the IP address is dynamically assigned.
IP
Provide static IP address. - If the HPE Server Hardware does not have the server profile attached, enter the name of the Server Profile for deploying the OS (server profile creation is an optional).

For static network configuration, consider the following points:For DL and ML servers, HPE OneView for VMware vCenter displays the Management Network panel. You can select the MAC address of the required Network Adapter and provide its VLAN ID, if required.
For BL and HPE Synergy servers, HPE OneView for VMware vCenter automatically picks the network information such as network adapter and VLAN ID.
If HPE OneView does not list the network adapters, manually enter the MAC address of the required network adapter.

After adding all the host details, click Deploy.
Monitor the process from the vCenter task as the deployment process takes time.
