Trend Reports

Generate a trend report from an availability report

A trend report is a variation of the availability report, and can be generated using one of two different methods.

To generate a trend report from the Health tab:

  1. Create an availability report from the Health tab.
For more information, see the Availability Reports topic.
  2. Click the green block just below the Host State Breakdowns: heading.
The trend report will be displayed.

To create a trend report by accessing Icinga on the system's MGS server:

  1. Navigate to https://<mgs_server_address>/icinga/cgi-bin/trends.cgi, where <mgs_server_address> is the IP address of the system's MGS server.
  2. Select either Host or Service from the drop-down menu, and then click the Continue to Step 2 button.
  3. Select a host from the drop-down menu, and then click the Continue to Step 3 button.
  4. Select the options and attributes for the report, including the reporting period and various states
  5. Click Create Report.

Note that there is a slight difference in the way the trend report is presented when generating the report from Icinga on the MGS server rather than from the Health tab.
