Total Processes
More information about thresholds for number of processes
The Total Processes service checks all processes and generates WARNING or CRITICAL states if the number of processes is outside the defined threshold ranges. Checks the processes that have, in the output of ps, one or more of the following status flags: RSZDT.
Default Thresholds

Note: The value 1000000 refers to infinity. It is essentially an unreachable threshold to prevent warning and critical states from occurring. This service provides useful metrics for statistics.
Metrics: Total number of processes in RSZDT.
