Introduction to data network setup

The customer wizard next step is to configure the Lustre network interfaces for the OSS/MDS/MGS nodes for the storage system's data network configuration, which may be InfiniBand, Omni-Path, 100Gbe, or 40GbE, depending on the installed system hardware and the software release.

Once the configuration wizard has completed, the Lustre network settings and the NIS/LDAP/AD settings for Lustre users may be changed or configured from the Sonexion System Manager Configure tab. At this point, the configuration wizard will display a configuration screen for the installed network interface technology. There, configure any of the following:
  • IP address ranges
  • IP routing over the Lustre network (optional)
  • DNS/NTP server(s) assignments
  • Firewall settings
  • InfiniBand, Omni-Path, 100GbE, or 40GbE settings

Once the Lustre network setup is finished, complete the configuration wizard.
