Procedure and related info to establish administrator password

REQUIRED: When Sonexion System Manager starts for the first time, establish the admin password.

To start Sonexion System Manager, enter the IP address of the management server into a web browser. The Welcome to Sonexion System Manager screen will appear and prompt to create the admin password. Once the password is established, a configuration wizard will launch. Use the wizard prompts to configure the system.

The step to establish an admin password will only run one time and is not part of the configuration wizard. The operator cannot go back to this page. Once the login is complete, the wizard advances to the Lustre setup procedure. The system should prompt again for the username and password from the browser authentication window.

Note: After the admin password has been created, it may be changed at any time.
  1. Set up the admin account by entering a password.
    The encrypted password is limited to 32 characters.
  2. Retype the password for verification.
    If the two passwords do not match, the field title Retype Password will change to red text with an exclamation icon adjacent to the text. Re-enter the password correctly to continue.
  3. Click the Set Password and Proceed with Login button.
