Installing Livy

This topic includes instructions for using package managers to download and install Livy from the MEP repository. For instructions to set up the MEP repository, see Step 10: Install Ecosystem Components Manually.

Run the following commands as root or using sudo:

  1. Install the mapr-livy package:
    RedHat/CentOS
    # yum install mapr-livy
    SUSE
    # zypper install mapr-livy
    Ubuntu
    # apt-get install mapr-livy
  2. Run the configure.sh script with the following command to configure the Livy role for the node: 
    /opt/mapr/server/configure.sh -R
