Senior Vice President, Global Communications
Howard Clabo leads Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s Global Communications group, which includes corporate media relations, product public relations, analyst relations, international communications, executive and employee communications. In this role, Howard is responsible for developing Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s global integrated communications strategy to support and drive the company’s business goals and corporate reputation. Howard and his team also provide strategic counsel to the company’s senior executives to effectively engage and communicate with key audiences.
Previously, Howard led the Hewlett-Packard company corporate media relations and executive communications organization. Prior to HP, he was head of corporate communications at Applied Materials, the world’s leading supplier of equipment services and software to enable the manufacture of advanced semiconductor, flat panel display and solar photovoltaic products. In that role, he was responsible for developing internal and external communications programs to drive Applied Material’s reputation, support business priorities and ensure strategic alignment of its global workforce.
Prior to Applied Materials, Howard led global media relations for FedEx Corporation across multiple operating companies and international regions. Howard was instrumental in managing and maintaining FedEx’s corporate reputation as one of the world’s most admired companies.
Before FedEx, Howard worked for several of the world’s leading public relations agencies, and managed a variety of accounts, including Intel, P&G, Seagram’s and Pharmacia.
Howard earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Tulane University in New Orleans. He lives in the Bay Area in Northern California with his wife and 2 daughters.
