HP-UX 11i Virtual Partitions is software that divides a physical server into multiple virtual servers, each with their own HP-UX OS, and CPU, memory and I/O resources. By using vPars, customers can utilize unused server capacity, increase overall server utilization, and increase flexibility of those resources.
The main new capabilities provided by HP-UX 11i v1 vPars - December 2007 (vPars A.03.05) are:
HP-UX 11i v1 & v2 vPars in the same nPartition: enabling support of mixed HP-UX environments, and staged upgrades, throughout the nPartition

HP-UX 11i v1 Virtual Partitions (vPars) version A.03.05 software will be released concurrently with the December 2007 HP-UX 11i v1 Operating Environment Update Release, although vPars is ordered separately and distributed on a separate DVD.
If the vPars software (for the given HP Integrity or HP 9000 server) is on an HP upgrade support contract, this release would be covered by that contract.
Please be aware of the firmware requirements and end of support dates for vPars releases, listed in the HP-UX Virtual Partitions Ordering and Configuration Guide http://docs.hp.com/en/oshpux11i.html .
