Smart Update Solution
Simple, efficient, and secure updates to HPE ProLiant servers, HPE Synergy, and HPE BladeSystem infrastructure.
Comprised of Smart Update Manager (SUM) and Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP), which reduce time-consuming, expensive, and error-prone updates.
The Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) is a comprehensive collection of server firmware, drivers, and system software tested as a single solution stack.
The SPP custom download reduces the SPP size by including only the firmware and drivers for the operating systems and server models you need.
Smart Update Manager (SUM) is an innovative tool for keeping the firmware, drivers, and system software of HPE server infrastructure and associated options up-to-date and secure.
SUM discovers installed hardware and current versions of firmware, drivers, and system software, provides an update recommendation, and then applies the updates in an efficient order to reduce impact on operations.
The Smart Update Tools (SUT) are extensions of SUM that enable HPE OneView and iLO Amplifier Pack to stage and apply updates automatically to reduce IT operations. This operating system (OS) utility provides the ability to perform online firmware and/or driver updates via the iLO management network without the need for OS credentials.
Scale to fit your needs
Need to scale server updates? HPE has several tools to help meet your scale requirements depending on your unique environment. HPE OneView is your infrastructure automation engine, built with software defined intelligence and a unified API, that when combined with HPE OneView Global Dashboard software, gives you the ability to both manage and update all your HPE servers, storage and fabric across a single user interface. To scale updates across many HPE servers, iLO Amplifier Pack is a free, downloadable virtual machine that is capable of rapid updates. For smaller environments, Intelligent Provisioning can help execute firmware at deployment.
