在领导 HPEFS 之前，Irv Rothman 曾担任 Compaq Financial Services Corporation 的总裁兼首席执行官。自 1997 年 Compaq Financial Services Corporation 创立起 Irv Rothman 就领导着这家公司，在惠普与康柏 2002 年完成合并以前，他将该公司的业务发展到资产超过 37 亿美元，创造了逾 10 亿美元的收入。
Irv Rothman 先生在金融服务行业从业逾 40 年，在 1985 年加入 AT&T 之前，他曾担任过 U.S. Leasing International 和 Thomson McKinnon Securities 的领导职位。作为 AT&T Capital Corporation 集团总裁，他帮助创立了一家企业，这个企业最终发展成为美国第二大租赁公司。

Irv Rothman 还是 HPE Inclusion & Diversity Council 的一员。
2019 年，Irv Rothman 加入 UCF 董事会。UCF 既是全球领先的非盈利泌尿健康基金会，也是美国泌尿外科学会的官方基金会。
Irv Rothman 曾就读于 Rutgers University 并获得 Pepperdine University 金融 MBA 学位。
