Software-defined storage (SDS) enables you to create a pool of shared storage on industry-standard servers, without the need for dedicated arrays.

HPE StoreVirtual technology runs within VMware vCenter, Microsoft Hyper-V or Linux KVM environments on the same server as your virtualised applications. It creates a  scale-out iSCSI SAN that provides capacity and advanced data services, such as tiering, or clustering for any physical or virtual server.

HPE enables you to start small and expand as needed. The HPE StoreVirtual SDS family is available as a software-only virtual storage appliance (VSA), a physical storage array, embedded in HPE Helion OpenStack® or as a turnkey hyper-converged appliance.
